Relative Pronoun ทำหน้าที่ แทนคำนาม และเชื่อมประโยคเป็นประโยคเดียว
Who แทน คน ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน เช่น
The man who speaks well is my brother.
ผู้ชายที่พูดได้ไพเราะคือพี่ชายของฉันเอง (แทนคนทำหน้าที่ประธาน)
Whom แทน คน ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรม เช่น
He is the one of the man whom I feel I can trust.
เขาเป็นผู้ชายที่ฉันรู้สึกไว้ใจได้ ( แทนคน เป็นกรรม)
Which แทนสัตว์ สิ่ง ของ ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน, กรรม เช่น
The dog which was lost has been found.
สุนัขที่หายไปถูกพบแล้ว (แทน สัตว์เป็นประธาน )
The book which I read was very intereting.
หนังสือที่ฉันอ่านน่าสนใจมาก(แทนสิ่งของเป็น กรรม)
Whose แทน คน ทำหน้าที่เป็นเจ้าของ เช่น
He is the man whose word is as good as his action.
เขาเป็นผู้ชายที่คำพูดของเขาดีพอๆกับการกระทำของเขา
Of which แทนสิ่งของ ทำหน้าที่เป็นเจ้าของ เช่น
The book of which the cover is red is beautiful.
หนังสือที่มีปกสีแดงสวยมาก(แทนสิ่งของเป็นเจ้าของ)
Where แทนสถานที่ ทีมีการเกี่ยวข้องในสถานที่นั้น เช่น
London where John lives is on the Thames.
เมืองลอนดอนที่ซึ่งจอห์นอาศัยอยู่ตั้งอยู่บนฝั่งแม่น้ำเทมส์ ( แทนสถานที่ที่จอห์นอาศัย)
Which แทนสถานที่ ที่เพียงกล่าวถึงอย่างเดียว(มิได้เข้าไปเกี่ยวข้อง) เช่น
